What’s happening at CLTRe?

In May 2019, CLTRe was acquired by the world’s largest security awareness training platform providers, KnowBe4. Recognized as an industry Leader by Gartner for the third year running, KnowBe4 has also achieved Unicorn status due to $1 billion valuation following the acquisition.

So far, 2019 has brought some very exciting changes. In case you have been out of the loop, here’s a quick round up of the first 6 months.

CLTRe moved to Fornebu to be part of Simula Gründergarasjen, a community of technology-intensive startup companies located in a technical center of excellence in ICT and innovation. We’ve since moved again, by the way.

CLTRe released a number of product updates, including the ability to automatically generate a slideshow with a brief overview of the results from your latest security culture measurement. Ideal for presenting the state of your organization’s security culture to your executive management team and/or board.

As part of Infosecurity Magazine’s Online Summit, CLTRe CEO Kai Roer discussed “How to ensure your people are a strong, active part of your security strategy and not your weakest link” in a webinar with Espen Otterstad (Abax CISO), Nicola Whiting (Titania CSO), and Dan Raywood (Contributing Editor).

CLTRe was chosen by the European Innovation Council (EIC) to present at several EIC matchmaking events across Europe, including the EIC Corporate Day with Orange, in Paris, and Deep Tech on Display, where CLTRe CEO won the EIC Jury Award for Best Pitch.

CLTRe released a research paper that explains The Seven Dimensions of Security Culture in depth. This special paper provides a comprehensive resource for practitioners seeking a deeper understanding of the dimensions that comprise security culture: what they are, how they relate to security, and how they can be influenced.

Later that month, at KB4CON in Orlando, Florida, KnowBe4 announced its acquisition of CLTRe and put Security Culture Assessment on the KnowBe4 Product Roadmap.

Following the announcement of the acquisition, plans to integrate the CLTRe Toolkit (our security culture measurement platform) into KMSAT (KnowBe4’s platform) begun. The new Security Culture Survey will be made available to all KnowBe4 customers later this year.

What’s next?

The main focus for the next few months will on product integration. Things are moving fast. Although a release date is yet to be confirmed, at this rate, KnowBe4 customers may well have access to the survey before the end of Q3. Detailed reporting features are expected at a later date.

The new Security Culture Survey will be a complimentary feature within KnowBe4’s Security Awareness Training (SAT) and Simulated Phishing platform, available to all KnowBe4 customers.
